So after deciding on a backpack I now had to fill it up. This was kind of exciting – a shopping spree!
I checked out what other people had packed on their trips and 90% of the stuff was the same. I also made note of what people took and then never used (I’m looking at you sink stopper).
Here’s what I ended up packing:

- Folding mesh pocket (for document storage)
- Backpack cover (for when I’m lugging the pack in the rain)
- 3 TSA combination locks
