I’ve now been up for 32 hours.   In fact, during the last 74 hours or 3 days, I’ve slept a total of 8 hours.

On Sunday night I was up til 4:30 in the morning cleaning the apartment and doing last minute packing.   A short 4 1/2 hours later I was back up as that was the day I did my move.

The next night I didn’t sleep because of the excitement coursing through my veins.   It was the night before my flight – I went to bed at a respectable 1am only to wake up at 4:30 in the morning too excited to go back to bed.   So, I stayed up and as much as I wanted to, I just couldn’t sleep on the plane so here I am – 32 hours later – finally in Lisbon, ready to crash.

An auspicious start to say the least but, you know what, it’s 9pm here and I’m going to be fresh tomorrow ready to tackle this city.   I’m going to spend the day exploring downtown Lisbon and then figure out what I’m going to do with the other 6 days I’m spending here before flying to Madrid next Thursday (Mar 7th).

Here’s a video I took while sitting at the airport in London on my 4 hour layover before heading out to Lisbon – can you tell I’m tired?
