Today was another day of nothing save for some planning and booking for my upcoming time in Ireland.

I will say that planning is sometimes like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

When you think you’ve got it all figured out, something comes along to throw a wrench in your plans.

Case in point – I had Ireland all figured out.   I knew where I was going to be on what days and what I was going to do.   I knew which trains I needed to book and which hostels I was going to stay at.

As I started to book things I found that a tour I wanted to do out of Galway is only available on the weekends but I would only be in town on Wed, Thu, Fri.

This was a tour I needed to book at the tour of the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands is the main reason people visit the city of Galaway.

So, I had to quickly change my plan to squeeze one more day into Galaway and take a day away from later in the week.

Problem was I had already booked a train ticket for that day.   And a hostel.   And another hostel.

Yeah, by tweaking the trip by even one little day I now all of a sudden had to move and rebook 4 other things.

Ah, what’s a little hair pulling when you’re on a trip, eh?

Anyway, it’s all worked out and I’ll be in Ireland in just 3 days.

The next few days are going to be crazy as I’ll be staying in 3 different cities in 3 days.

Tomorrow I’ll head from Newcastle to Liverpool before heading to Conwy the next day and then onto Dublin after that.

Crazy times!
