I’m baaaaaack.

Time for another adventure!

This time, I’m not crossing any new countries off my list.   Instead, I’m redoing one that I never really got to experience at all.

I’m talking, of course, about Cuba.

During my trip 7 years ago, ironically called Euro Trip 2017, my itinerary had me in Mexico and Cuba for a couple weeks each before heading over to Europe.

My two weeks in Mexico were amazing.   My two weeks in Cuba were, ah, well, not two weeks.

It was less than 48 hours.

I caught food poisoning my last night in Mexico and ended up sick and unprepared in Cuba, a country not quite known for it’s infrastructure.

Let’s just say, it’s not that great a place to be when you’re sick.

I ended up cutting my trip short and heading to Europe right away rather than staying in Cuba.   Naturally, I didn’t get to really experience anything the country had to offer and I vowed I would make it back some day.

Well, that day is just 5 short days away.

Starting next week I’ll be traveling through the countryside visiting the cities of Havana, Vinales, Cienfuegos, and Trinidad over the course of 17 days.

Time to get that backpack out of storage.   It’s time for a new adventure.   It’s time for Cuba Trip 2024!
